MNK Wyspiański is a museum branch dedicated to one of the greatest figures of Polish art – Stanisław Wyspiański. The National Museum in Kraków holds the world's largest collection of his works, with nearly 200 pieces on display. Among them are numerous pastels, which are particularly sensitive to light and environmental conditions. To ensure their long-term preservation, the exhibition is regularly rotated. The collection includes portrait and landscape paintings, as well as a remarkable group of decorative designs created for the Franciscan Church in Kraków, the cathedrals of Lviv and Wawel, and the House of the Medical Society in Kraków. It also features pencil drawings, watercolours, oil paintings, and designs for stained-glass windows and polychrome decorations, showcasing the extraordinary versatility of the artist.
